Springtime of the Year

I feel the summer coming in the morning when it's clear
It's sad to think of leaving in the springtime of the year
But we've seen the seasons come and go and quickly pass away
Now we'll continue acting on the stages in our plays
But I'll sigh in summer's meadow when I think I held you near
And I'll smile because you loved me in the springtime of the year

I've seen you sailing like a bird across the sky
On the wings of hidden dreams don't ever let them die
Hold them near for it's dreams that make the springtime of the year

One thousand million dreams now have fallen from my heart
I've told you of so many that have ended at the start
But all my good intentions that I cannot cease to mention
Don't seem to lead to action in my case
But if I'm a hopeless dreamer and my dreams are bound to die
I'll be leaving on the wind without a trace

I've seen you sailing like a bird across the sky
On the wings of hidden dreams don't ever let them die
Hold them near for it's dreams that make the springtime of the year

I refuse to buckle at the knees of my fear
I am happy that you loved me in the springtime of the year

A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person
